I think they're all genuine records. I love Goats Head Soup. At least, it fascinated me as a kid in the shop when it came out. I count myself lucky to have grown up in the vinyl age where sleeves took on a huge significance and yoou'd go into shops and stare at them for ages. That Squeeze cover is ...

I'll pick this one: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/3/32/RT_Pdls.jpg That's one of my favourite covers ever! The fold out vinyl with Linda's beautiful face on the other side, that is. It's criminal that she's not on the backside of the recent Island CD reissue. This, on the other hand...(p...

Maybe we've done the word play/pun thing already, but I'm really fond of them. Some fave lines: The long arm of the law slides up the outskirts of town Don't put your heart out on your sleeve when your remarks are off the cuff There's a ladder to heaven from a battered stiletto and my favourite put-...

.......and the title track at three :? :? :? Wouldn't be in the same league as the rest of the album for me. No one ranked it as #1 (Tears & Thorn got two each) and only one #2 but no one seemed to hate it either. Then again, as with Almost Blue and Kojak Variety, not a lot of people ranked thi...

Beat it with a jew's harp. very popular tour van game, this. My band's original drummer once nailed my word sphinx on his FIRST guess/question. What's the odds of that?

Oh but I think it is. Didn't love it at first (like the eponymous, Whereabouts or Retriever albums) but it's a grower. The Jules Shear disc is nice but a bit boring. I don't drag it out very often.

This is what we think of the man's latest succesful effort to impress the world: 1. Who's Gonna Help Brother Get Further? 2. Ascension Day 3. The River In Reverse 4. Freedom For The Stallion 5. The Sharpest Thorn 6. Tears, Tears & More Tears 7. Nearer To You 8. Broken Promise Land 9. Six-Fingere...

What are these bad songs on side 2? Georgie is a wonderful song but taken at a pace that does not let it breathe, really, which should work live but sounds a bit stressful on the record. Still enjoy that one a lot though. I do not like the repetitive use of the word/name Candy in that song or the w...

Yeh Yeh, to be precise. I love that one. Get it here: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000006V5Z/sr=8-2/qid=1154983762/ref=sr_1_2/002-8281229-1183223?ie=UTF8 or, well, go to the top right corner link first but that's a good one. (Incidentally, it also includes that other EC cover Point Of No Return.)

Svante played on For The Stars too. Georg Wadenius used to play with Blood Sweat & Tears I think. He's recorded my favourite children's jazz album too but that's in Swedish so I guess that's as pointless as you get trivia-wise.
