I'd like to hear more about this Unfortunate Parenting Incident - I've had a few of those myself. :? I've been stocking up on the reissues, but fortunately still have the albums and cd's from the original versions. Still, I do love his liner notes in the reissues. Makes me hungry for more. More, dam...

That's funny LTZ. I have dreamed of meeting Elvis also, but I imagine I'm saying witty, intelligent things. Most likely that's not what would happen.

I'd probably say something like, "Sir, there's a piano." :?

There was a problem with the old site - looked like the machine that hosted it crashed. No one could find Narb to fix it and so it remained broken. Taz decided to set up a site - at least temporarily - that we could migrate to in order to still chat.

Congrats on this Saturday!!! :D

Well, the kids are out of school for the summer, either eating or fighting all day, and I'm trying to still finish Who's Who in Hell. Also trying to read the Poisoned Rose. But I also have a wedding reception to cater on Saturday, so not much reading until after that. Spending what little free time ...

MS - I believe these are the five men women are supposed to have in their lives at all times - according to the book The Sweet Potato Queen's Book of Love - 1) a man who can fix things 2) a man you can dance with 3) a man who can pay for things 4) a man you can talk to 5) a man to have great sex with

I did forget to say this about tatoos. We were in Chattanooga, TN a few months ago and picked up a Sunday paper. There was an article about a man who had received a tatoo from an establishment, expecting to see the word LIFE on his upper arm. Cruel twist of fate - I swear this story is true - the ta...

lapinjolis: Nothing wrong with not being married. I spent most of my twenties married, only to find myself divorced at 31. Fortunately I found real love the second time. I always feel like I didn't spend enough time single. We always want what we don't have, huh? Remember the Stones, "Can't alw...

I'm slowly creeping towards this one myself, MS. I'll be 39 this August so I'm not far behind you. And since I'm 9 months older than my husband, I'll suffer this before him. He knows not to ignore my birthday for fear his will be ignored in return. I've spent a great portion of my life trying ...

I couldn't decide a few days ago when I first saw this thread, so I listened to IB again on the road this weekend and finally made a decision:

1. Human Hands
2. You Little Fool
3. Pidgin English

I love this album wholly and completely and find it a great listen all the way through. I really like Tart and Alibi - great lyrics to both, but I do love Spooky Girlfriend. My husband always gives me a cheesy little grin when this track plays. But I do agree with you SLL, SG is better in the...

MS - I hear that's a good book. The librarian at my kids' school has been suggesting it to me for some time now. Hmmm, a handyman, a lover - I would say something about someone to carry out trash, mow the lawn and step on bugs, but I'm capable of doing all that myself. Just as long as there's also m...

Dylan Reissues + Film Role

Found this today:

http://www.rollingstone.com/news/newsar ... ?nid=18167

Also mentions an upcoming feature film role as Jack Fate in Masked and Anonymous, due in July.
