Re: Elvis & The Imposters, Guildhall, Portsmouth, June 19, 2022

True. I guess with the C virus isolation periods should hopefully make him possibly (although I think unlikely) OK for Wednesday but more likely fit for Thursday. I can’t see Elvis missing London given the emotion of the last gig there in 2020. BUT this is only my reading and, as the song goes, I’v...

Re: Elvis recording again at Memphis Magnetic Recording Studios

Elvis has released a YouTube video of a performance of "Here, There and Everywhere" to make Paul McCartney's 80th Birthday. The video is here: k-1wiBzLt2A The video was recorded at Memphis Magnetic Studios, produced by Sebastian Krys and filmed by Toast (Chris Holding). I would strongly s...

Re: Elvis & The Imposters, City Hall, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, June 8, 2022

This was a step up from the Glasgow gig in my book. Seemed in good form and played 8.45 till nearly 11. Apologized for a substandard, illness affected performance back in 2018 and seemed to want to make up for it. Voice seems in better shape than recently - no gum chewing and accepted the restricti...

We had a great evening, the boys were outnumbered 2 to 1 by the girls. Sulky, myself, KRM, Nicola, Clare, Wilma, Jo and Mrs Sheep had a drink before the show. Where we were treated to 30 seconds of a sectarian song by a group of women who were frankly old enough to know better especially as they wer...

I think he will just arrange the event around the match. I know you say VG he gets into the directors box but he only goes the odd game when he is in the country.

Personally now i have a code for Disney + i might see how the kardashians are getting on for once in my life.

Thanks VG for arranging it. It was a great day.

I did see online yesterday a fan saying they were looking for fellow Elvis fans to meet up with for gigs etc in the US. You all need a VG in your area to organise your own fan forum meet ups. It is a great way to meet new friends.

Johnnie Walker seems to like Radio Radio. He plays that a bit on sounds of the 70's on a Sunday afternoon. TBF I rarely listen to the radio these days.

Well...to be fair, it's more of an 'idea' than a 'recipe'. Lol...I agree Nigella Lawson got a bit of a kicking a while back for posting a 'recipe' which basically said: butter your toast twice. The first time to let the butter soak into the hot toast, the second time to 'dot' it with blobs of butte...

Re: The Boy Named If, new album by Elvis & The Imposters, January 14, 2022

Sounds like I need to give it another spin! Thanks for the thoughts, peeps. As I have said on another topic this album has got to be the best promoted EC record in many a year in the UK. Two prime time TV performances at the very least. Norton is a coup. It might even chart I'm not sure 'charts' me...

Sounds like I need to give it another spin! Thanks for the thoughts, peeps. Took me a while to get into Magnificent Hurt and Farewell OK. I found Paint the red rose blue a bit more immediate on first listen at the playback. Especially when he did the solo version at the piano. Personally I prefer E...

6/4 on skybet Graham mentions EC is also named Declan just like Mr Donnelly :D :D The musical guests normally only get a very brief interview and it is normally about the record they are promoting. Has Elvis been on the show before? This record seems to be the best promoted record in the UK at least...

It is looking like we may just have a two week circuit break after Christmas or early January. I am still up for it.

Re: EC & The Imposters with Charlie Sexton - UK Tour, June 2022

The ticket prices are my biggest concern. It was steep in 2020 and, with the 10% “convenience” presale ticket prices at some venues, the cost was over £100. With other things in June (not least my wedding anniversary on the night of the Leicester gig) I’ll probably only go to Brighton and Oxford wh...
