Dee Dee's book is called "Lobotomy; surviving the Ramones". It's a good read - beware - the Ramones did not like each other very much. I've been a big fan of the Ramones since "Rocket To Russia" and in my opinion, they were never the same band after Dee Dee left. Favorite line - ...

Goody - Yes - both great albums. Do you remember Julie London on "Emergency"? I always thought it was sort of weird that Jack Webb put both his ex-wife and her current husband (Bobby Troupe) on his show. And what is one to make of his zealousness against drugs on the "Dragnet" sh...

Logistics are still a bit uncertain, but I'm going to try my hardest to get to the Barking Crab (I've heard really good things about the place) -

I'll be wearing a "Brutal Youth" t-shirt and pink tights (not really).

Kessel is a nice choice. I especially like his stuff with Stephane Grappelli. Did you know that Kessel produced and played guitar on the early Ricky Nelson recordings - before the great James Burton (another guy that should be in the guitar pantheon - sorry El Vez).

Beers Before Boston

Someone should pick a place to have drinks before the Boston show. I'm not familiar with the neighborhood, or I'd do it. It'll be a hot day and I'm sure we'll all be parched....

I love "Real Live Bleeding Fingers" - just a killer song. It transcends genres - as much blues and rock as country. And it was the highlight of my drive up to NH this past weekend.

I'm lookin' for a '64 or '65 Falcon Sprint.

This is the used car thread, right?

Also - I have a '97 Dakota for sale (V6, 2WD, Manual Transmission) - low mileage.

the winner is food. I made a chicken stir fry, heavy on the curry paste, over basmati rice and then I ate way too much of it. I've had one vodka tonic. No sex since Sunday - and that was with the wife (I would think she falls squarely in the "should" catagory). I ain't gonna read no books ...

I voted for Bob. Bob is just a cool name - same backwards as it is forwards - and then there's the bob house (a little hut you sit in as you fish through the ice, like in Grumpy Old Men, except in Minnesota (where Bob is from) they're not called bob houses - only in NH and Maine). Simply body of wor...

What would you recommend by Eugene Chadbourne as a starting cd to buy? I've got his disc with Camper Van Beethoven and honestly I don't listen to it that much. I saw him about 15 years ago playing with CVB and the bunch of them blew me away.

"Valentine" was the b-side of "Oliver's Army" - I first had it on the "Taking Liberties" lp.

A couple of my all-time favorite covers (where I like the original too)

Husker Du - Eight Miles High
The Clash - Police & Thieves, I Fought The Law

Very Good Jackson Doofster !

It can be either/or first names or surnames for the message.

And for the purposes of the puzzle we are referring to the Beat as the English Beat. (however right or wrong that may be.)
