Can someone PLEASE explain to me with charts and graphs just what is so great about the Stone Roses? I've heard it, and I just don't feel it. Whenever I see them at the top of a poll like this I think ""bandwagon sheep"... Not enough Elvis, either. Also, OK Comp is better than The Ben...

One of my fave EC albums. Manages to skirt the fence of overproduction that others (particularly MLAR) were toppled from. 1. When I Was Cruel No. 2 ( Masterpiece? ;) ) 2. 15 Petals (He tried to warn us all was not well) 3. Tear Off Your Own Head 4. Episode Of Blonde 5. Dust 2... 6. Spooky Girlfriend...

Wasn't there a whole karaoke scene in his movie True Stories, which came out in '86? It's in the video for Wild Wild Life, too...I remember John Goodman being one of the singers, before he was "Roseanne" famous.

Then I guess I break that mold--I'm an old crank as well, but I find WIWC just as vital as I did TYM when I was young. Not all of EC's newer stuff compares favorably to "the classics", but I easily place "Monkey to Man" (for example) among his best all-time singles. BTW, I found ...

I love threads like this, as they provide a test for the abilities of members to post their gut reactions without being snarky or downright rude. ;) Well, TYM has its place in history secured, so I'll use the only test I know: right now I have most of WIWC on the majority of my iPod playlists, but n...

I didn't get into it until I started watching the reruns on FX network. I caught it in the later seasons and got hooked then, so I'm backwards from most fans who think that the show went downhill post-Angel/Cordy/Oz etc. I bought all 7 seasons on DVD, and I actually prefer watching seasons 4-7.
