Some strange town/venue choices.

NJ: No Newark or Montclair or Englewood, but TWO shore towns, Atlantic City and Asbury Park
NY: No Manhattan or Brooklyn, but Verona (!)
PA: No Philly or Pittsburgh, but Bethlehem (!)

So why would he have scheduled all these multiple-night runs in the first place?

If anyone has an extra tic, I'd love to make this show....especially as 1) STILL no NYC dates on this tour and 2) it's on Election Day and I'm going to need all the distraction I can get.

I'd been hoping that by now NYC shows would have been announced. Now, I'm wondering if I should try to score a tic for Asbury Park. (Anyone got a spare?)

Also: Asbury is on Election Day, and I'm gonna need all the distraction I can get....but damn, I hate having to schlep to Jersey!

I dunno....these cancellations/postponements seem to have gotten more frequent in recent years. Does anyone know what his surgery was for?

I have to believe they'll be NY shows following the album release.

And, just for the record: It IS possible to go on tour and use ticket sellers other than Ticketmaster and LN. Difficult, maybe, but possible.

I had the exact same experience tonight. Was a bit let down after the Bklyn show, mostly because I was expecting something different. But, like you, tonight I just decided to sit (also: sitting was nice) and enjoy, and boy, did I.

A great, but not awesome show. Some terrific surprises (Blue Chair, Miracle Man, Next Time Around, Come the Meantimes, Still Have That Other Girl) but, I dunno, the show didn't seem to have a focus. I agree with BA....fingers crossed. I suspect we'll know within the next couple hours.

Brooklyn Steel is booked on 3/10 and 3/12, so I imagine they'd be hard pressed to postpone or cancel the gig. Personally, I'd love a slightly depressed turnout.....

On one of the EC-devoted Facebook pages there's a photo of Davey and his brother with EC, taken this week, at a recording studio in LA. Davey's brother says he's there to assist on the recording of EC's "new album."

Anyone know anything about this? Would be terrific news!

I'll admit this is rather picayune point, but.....

The Gigography has this show listed as being in "New York." It should really say "Brooklyn." Fer Chrissakes, by population it's the fourth-largest "town" in the country!
