I'll be there.

Traveling to Nashville for a friends wedding. We are staying an extra day to see a pro football game (Tennessee Titans) and to see EC at the Ryman.

That's awesome Legman!
Now I wish he would have played 45, Complicated Shadows, Brilliant Mistake, Almost Blue, Man Out of Time & I Want You.
Oh well...the Dallas Symphony show should help.

Thanks for coming through Dallas EC!!

Re: Elvis (solo), House of Blues, Dallas, May 24, 2010

Great Show!! We ended up center stage in row 1 balcony...(arguably the best seats). It was a little shorter than I wanted (about 80-90 minutes), but aren't they all with EC concerts? The "Wind Energy Converence" attendees were largely not huge EC fans and were a bit "chatty" duri...

This is probably more than just "Relatively" Insignificant...but a friend's sister-in-law saw EC on a plane to Vancouver. She was on the way to the olympics

Re: The Top 25

Damn..that was difficult. I suppose this would be my top 25 "all-time best of" EC. This list changes rapidly for me. For instance, watching Spectacle the other day & Town Cryer has prompted me to get IB back out and rediscover it's excellence. I enjoy his new & other assorted stuff...

...Just finished watching. I very much enjoyed the episode...could have been better I guess. Loved Town Cryer & Brilliant Mistake...those certainly choked up ML Parker. So Like Candy was very good as was Still have that Other Girl. No complaining here...but man...those sideburns need to go!

Re: Lyrics open to interpretation...

I've always liked this song, but when pressed for the meaning from my wife (who takes some offense to it) I struggle for a good description....Any thoughts: You'll never be a man No matter how many foreign bodies you can take You'll never be a man When you're half a woman and you're half awake With ...

Re: Elvis and The Sugarcanes, Nokia Theatre TX Sept 02 FREE TICK

Can't help thinking the small crowd screwed us out of some songs, looking back at the Austin setlist. I had a hell of a good time. The Delivery Man was awesome. EC made a comment that Grand Prairie was so fancy, and he had brought an electric guitar, however it only had 4 strings. Not being a guita...

Entertainment Weekly's Pick of the Week

"Secret, Profane, and Sugarcane," Elvis Costello (out Tuesday). Elvis Costello sounds downright frisky at times on this acoustic set, which musically calls to mind 1986's sublime, countryish "King of America." (The two albums share producer T Bone Burnett.) "Sulphur to Sugar...

WowTx_Fan you are shelling out the big bucks! No doubt I'll hear plenty more of the record September 2, when Costello makes his first-ever Nokia Theatre appearance--with his new band, the Sugarcanes, of which Lauderdale's a member. I put out some cash for good tix in 2005... for EC and The Imposter...

How did you discover Elvis?

This may have been done before, but "what the hell?" For me, the year was 2002 and I was living in Nashville, Tennessee. My wife bought EC concert tickets for my birthday. I didn't know much above Elvis's music. I'd heard "Watching the Detectives", "Alison"...and not mu...
