Bruce is a little jumpy, no?

It's cool to see them at such a young age, and EC levitating at the end is fun, but I have trouble getting past the lip syncing.

Loved the guys filling in behind the whistling on Josephine. Colin Top Balcony I noticed that too. Very quirky little fiddle and accordion fill-ins there. The more I listen, the more I appreciate the high level of musicianship in the 'Canes which often goes unnoticed or at least unappreciated. Coup...

Auto interview : Elvis Costello (Elvis interviews himself - hilarious!) 25/02/1989 - 03min37s Extremely hilarious! And his answers seem amazingly spontaneous, somehow. That's got to be the best "interview" and the best "acting" he's ever done. brilliant!!! first time I see...

SoundTaxi is what I use:

You can download a free trial. I bought the fancy Media Suite version, but if all you need is audio conversion, then you can buy the cheapest version ($19).

Agree. To my ears at least the album version sounds muddy. Here you can here all the little subtleties and I like it a lot more.
The studio version sounds awful. A rare fail by T Bone.

Overall, I really enjoy listening to NR. I kind of agree that the title song is only so-so at best. Something about the production makes it sound half-dead. On the other hand, this version on Letterman is so spirited, I love it. The band is in perfect sync. Just watch EC after they're done as Letter...

How is it that "National Ransom" [an album that sonically and verbally rewards a listener] gets so little notice and continues to be ignored by so many? Has he so totally fallen off the cultural grid? Is he really no longer a part of the conversation of literate, adventurous pop music? I ...

Saw a great show last night. AT was the opening act for Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings. I'm posting both as torrents on Dime, but in the meantime wanted the EC fans to hear a nice version of Who's Gonna Help Brother Get Further? He gives props to Elvis at the beginning: http://www.youtube.com/watc...

Sometimes hearing a live version of a new song completely changes my feelings about it. It was a phenomenal performance and I love the song now, even though the a...
