I hope so bad that 'Can You Hear Me?' is finally a good recording of one of my personal favorites that fell victim to bad recording quality, namely 'Do You Know What I'm Saying?'

I will say now that I already listened to 4 songs off the album over and over until I got my grubby mits on the full album... I feel like I ruined them for myself haha thank god I got other songs to help me cope with 'Post-Piracy Depression'

Indeed you do, it's such a fantastically crafted song. Out of all the rehashed lyrics and melodies on the album this is far and away the most spine tingling, wordslinging, beautiful song.

Has this album even been leaked yet ? I know that there was a fairly poor job on keeping NR under covers from pirates but this one seems to be more closely guarded ? maybe ? no ?

Even though I have over 800 songs of his (different versions, demos, etc) I, with regret, hate this song. I don't know if Elvis is trying to channel some Brutal Youth feel here but it just sounds awkward and disjointed.

This song is as was described as a 'classic Costello sound' I can't articulate it any better, his voice is in peak condition on it and the lyrics are so ... perfect. I miss the songs like this ! The Kohl Black Seam lyric is kinda weird
