Thanks Time.

I will, then, give them a try when the trilogy DVD comes out.

Should I read the books first, or go in cold?

He must've been guarding Krauss's shoes.

Does anybody besides me think that Elvis' guitar was a little out of tune during that little solo at the end?

And he was holding it like it was an assault rifle.

The "Academy" is a bit squeamish 'bout things like that.

I've never read any Tolkien (sp?), let alone any other fantasy books. I can't manage to keep my real life heroes and villains straight, let alone those from "middle earth". Hence, no interest in the movie. Accordingly, the acronynm CGI gives me the willies just thinking of it. But I'm willing to giv...

I feel the same way as you do Blue, except about the crucifixion. But at least I saw the movie.

Vaguely.

But I think it was Pump it Up, not Allison.

And I'm pretty sure it was on Leno.

But who knows, it was so long ago.

In my wildest dreams, I would never want to denigrate the brilliance of Brutal Youth. But it fell in after a prolonged misadventurous period ;(Spike and MLAR). It IS the record everyone credited WIWC of being. I even enjoy My Science Fiction Twin, and the whole nine yards. I just think that the peri...

"Put your hand on the wheel... Let the Golden Age begin" Actually B and C marked the end of the Golden Age for Elvis, in my opinion. But what a way to go out. Anyone lucky enough to witness the Spinning Songbook Tour can attest to the absurdity of the whole affair. One can only imagine the antics of...

It's not a privilege, or a right, it's an obligation. If Elvis wanders toward a "C" chord, or a "D", or an"F"," "Em", "C", or a "G", it is your sworn duty to grab your cell and report to your best friend that couldn't make it that Elvis is about to go into "Pump It Up". When it becomes apparent that...

Did you see it, crow? I guess mocking isn't exactly the right word. I guess he just turned it into kind of like a little "ditty". Hard to explain, but I really didn't see the point of it. If you're gonna do it, do it justice. The song's only 2 minutes anyway, why not give it a heartfelt verse--bridg...

Oh, one other thing. I found Yoko to be in typically arrogant form last night. When I heard her refer to Paul, George, and Ringo as "the other three", I wanted to punch her. On the other hand, why does Paul always have to ham it up. That stupid mocking of Yesterday was totally inappropriate (IMHO). ...

I thought that the White Stripes set was about the only redeemable part of the show. Though I'm getting a little sick of Seven Nation Army. Jack can really beat the hell out of that thing (the guitar, that is). In light of his recent legal woes, I thought he might have done a ballad or something. An...

Paul, You need to collect these thoughts into a book. From the bottom of my heart I want you to know how much I appreciate your thoughts on these songs. The only thing I would add is Elvis's wonderful woo-ooo-oo-oo-oo-oooo at the end, which, in my opinion, is pure Mccartney. Thanks again. Craig

What would Elvis think if he read this board?

My guess is he'd be sporting a tremendous red faced blush, with one finger down his throat, and his other hand tightly gripped on his you-know-what, with a box of kleenex waiting patiently by the side of the bed.

Just what I'm doing as a matter of fact.
