Re: Farewell, OK 2020: new song!
Well, everything's been taken down now - from YouTube, from the official EC page, everything. I hope colleagues managed to grab the alternative/spoken word version of 'Farewell OK' while it was (briefly) available. Based on nothing more than a hunch, I'm guessing that the full-band version will eve...

It's that time of year when you look back at what's been occurring and look forward to things shiny and bright. 2020 has been pretty s**t on lots of levels. However, a constant source of joy I have found over the past 12 months has been the virtual friendship emanating from this Board. There have b...

I'm just popping in to take a victory lap for figuring out a couple of years ago that the Tucson cab driver story actually recounted the origins of "Busy Bodies", not "Accidents Will Happen". :D Receipts here: http://www.elviscostellofans.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=10747...

Interesting. But why was he not telling the truth about the Mexico story? I don't get that. I love 'Accidents' - it's got to be a top-tenner, I think. I quote the article: "The song wasn’t inspired by a romantic encounter with a female cab driver in Tucson, Ariz., as I wrote in my 2015 memoir....

Back to topic: I just listened to the three tracks that are available on spotify, and ...wow! We get tracks by EC and the Attractions wherer they are on fire. This is exactly why I got stuck with EC in the first place. That moment I heard El Mocambo the first time and I was stuck for real. What we a...

When I asked 'does this one have a CD player?' the mid-twenties sales person looked at me slightly aghast and said (words to the effect of) 'I'm sorry sir...a 'C-what' player? Do you not possess a mobile phone?' So now I can't even play CDs in the car....

No no no never the 1991 lineup- leaden, plodding and unsubtle- possibly the worst show I ever saw was in 1991 !!
in a way, your comments makes it even more interesting
