I was at the DCU center concert last night. I arrived too late to hear Amos Lee and thought that Elvis was great. I've seen him many times, in many settings, and in combination with many bands and artists and each time I wonder what could top it. Bob Dylan has a terrific band and I knew most of what...

The official from the stage setlist (although it seems to be a little out of order) says Big Chief Variations, then Ascension Day.

I was there. (I also went to the Melody Tent in Hyannis last week.) I managed to sneak up to the stage when the guard at the end of the aisle wasn't looking. I enjoyed both shows very much, but I think that the acoustics at the Melody Tent were better. I also enjoyed the rotating stage at that venue...

Went to POPS last night. I was in the balcony right over the stage.
During the 15 min (or so) part where the orchestra played the suite from Il Sogno, Elvis strolled in and sat down in front of me. I got to look over his head to see the stage. Pretty cool!

I'm going to the Wang Center concert on Friday and am bringing along my 16 year old son. (My husband is sitting this one out.)

I'd like to meet other local fans (I met Poppet once.), especially those who want to try to meet EC after the concert.

Looks and reads great! I've read through the whole thing and offer only one suggestion: At the end of the disclaimer on page 11 there's a sentence that can stand to have a verb inserted to help the read. "This CD and any or all of its components (ARE) not for sale or trade." You have the r...

Misha,
I was wrong. Time or Newsweek wrote that it was picked up by a new sponsor (PartyPoker.com). You can read all about it at

I was so pleased that EC et al will be at Boston's Wang Center (despite its large size) because it does uses TeleCharge instead of Ticketmaster. TeleCharge is much more likely to hand out good seats to those who log on at the indicated time. So at 10am Friday instead of getting lousy Ticketmaster se...

Sulky, We could probably go on forever nit-picking this for proper grammar/punctuation. For sure there are many places where you need to weigh formal grammar (as per the NYTimes Style Guide) with colloquial usage. But since you've asked... I found this in a grammar book re the use of quotation marks...

Looks great!!!
One other small apostrophe thing: on the Dedication page from A Rope Leash, 60's should be '60s (not possessive). And do you mean extracted or excerpted? But those are small nits on an otherwise fabulous job.

Went to Newbury Comics at noon today and bought NORTH. Put in on in the car and made it through the first few tracks on the way back to the office. Boston Globe interview

I noticed this in the Boston Globe this morning. Nothing really new, but if anyone's interested here it is. Once the king of caustic rock, Costello is now its croon prince By Joan Anderman, Globe Staff, 9/21/2003 It's been years since Elvis Costello was an angry young man. According to his calculati...
