Re: Excellent & Very Rare 80's Videos Including I Stand Accused

I note that the audio from the performance of Uncomplicated, with The Attractions from the Old Grey Whistle Test, on May 27, 1986 was included in a radio show repeated on BBC Radio 2 earlier this year. Old Grey Whistle Test 40 was a sixteen part series broadcast originally in November 2011 and repea...

Re: 'Painted From Memory' on Broadway

Might have to bring Jimmie in for some comic relief... I think you'll find that the comedian in Painted From Memory is a character called "God". At the start of the musical the lead male character asks God for help in capturing the beauty of the well-known actress in his portrait - "...

Re: Essential bootlegs/ Getting started with boots/ General advice

Your question is a very good one and has prompted me to think about what “bootleg” recordings I own, and which ones I value. What is a “bootleg” is these days an interesting question. Before digital recording and the advent of online file sharing, the question was easier to answer. My first “bootleg...

I note that “Memo From Turner” was recorded at Olympic Studios in Barnes, West London as was “I Hope You’re Happy Now” which may help explain the reference. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Memo_from_Turner The Olympic Studios have now been turned back into a cinema. Interesting that, thus far, this show was the only live performance of I Let The Sun Go Down.

Can anyone who has heard the audience recording of this show say how far the lyrics of the recorded version on Look Now are the same, or different?

As part of the media blitz for Look Now EC recorded this short video interview for "Now This".

He continues on his recent theme about Political songs and songs not being written with the intention of changing the world or (presumably) bringing down elected administrations.
