Re: Elvis/Imposters , Phoenix on Saturday, April 27, 2019 has been canceled.

Live Nation is now saying that this event has been cancelled. It made no financial sense to get the band and equipment together for a one-off theatre show in the US. No word on whether this will be rescheduled again. Live Nation website is simply offering refunds. So if Elvis is not touring or plann...

I think this might be the entire show that the clip is from: https://youtu.be/zgvNLJGpo3g Brilliant - it is indeed part of the same show, which it turns out is "Elvis Costello: In His Own Eyes" (Or "Elvis Costello:I egne øyne" in Norwegian). It is archived on the NRK TV website ...

This is new to me, and something of a mystery: Elvis playing "Pads, Paws & Claws" solo on an acoustic guitar sitting in a window. DiBj-xuSmVU The poster - Trygve Østbye says in the comments that this clip is from "Norwegian television, program called Rock '89. They did a special t...

Re: Matthew Met Mary

Hello Aargal, welcome to the Fan Forum. Elvis' management (and lawyers) are diligent in chasing down YouTube clips of unreleased songs, such as Matthew Met Mary, and songs that have been written for "A Face In The Crowd". Following the release of "Lost On The River" in 2014 T-Bon...

Alfonso Villalonga and the Bilbao Orkestra Sinfonikoa play Costello classics

Alfonso Villalonga is a Spanish multi-instrumentalist, who it appears like to perform Elvis' songs. He appeared with a string quartet from the Bilbao Orkest Sinfonikao (Symphony Orchestra) on February 8, 2016 for a programme that promised: "NOCHE DE CABARET EN CARNAVAL Alfonso Vilallonga con cu...

Re: Excellent & Very Rare 80's Videos Including I Stand Accused

I note that the audio from the performance of Uncomplicated, with The Attractions from the Old Grey Whistle Test, on May 27, 1986 was included in a radio show repeated on BBC Radio 2 earlier this year. Old Grey Whistle Test 40 was a sixteen part series broadcast originally in November 2011 and repea...

Might have to bring Jimmie in for some comic relief... I think you'll find that the comedian in Painted From Memory is a character called "God". At the start of the musical the lead male character asks God for help in capturing the beauty of the well-known actress in his portrait - "...

Re: Essential bootlegs/ Getting started with boots/ General advice

Your question is a very good one and has prompted me to think about what “bootleg” recordings I own, and which ones I value. What is a “bootleg” is these days an interesting question. Before digital recording and the advent of online file sharing, the question was easier to answer. My first “bootleg...
