You mean like 10 shows in NYC at the Gramercy last year Touche! It’s a fair point though having the horns removes the flexibility. However this tour has been great for the variety of songs but the days of 10+ different songs per show have long gone. It’s one of the reasons I don’t go to as ma...

I think she enjoyed the show. :D

Seriously, Caryn's newsletter is very enjoyable, even when she's covering non-Elvis topics.

Re: What's your best ever EC gig?

This is always a tough one to answer, because--like many other board members--I've seen Elvis in so many iterations: Elvis and the Attractions Elvis and the Attractions + the TKO Horns Elvis solo Elvis and the Rude Five Elvis and Steve Elvis and the Brodsky Quartet Elvis and Burt Bacharach and Steve...

I believe I was the person who raised about the lack of detailed reports. Personally I am really glad that fans take the time to share their thoughts and provide detailed reviews of gigs. I try to do the same when I attend. Thanks for the inspiration, Verbal. I'm not sure I would have written every...

Thanks for the review. The setlist looked a bit different and Im glad that it worked out well. No crowd pleasers exactly. Thanks all for the nice comments. I saw in another thread someone mention that we don't seem to write many detailed reports from the shows, so figured I'd try to record some mor...

Fun night last night. Nick Lowe and Lost Straightjackets were great as always. Nick looks so happy playing with them, and they look happy playing with him. Positive energy all around. If you're going tonight, be on time, as Nick comes on promptly at 7:30. We missed the first song because of the line...

Looking forward to it. Haven't been to the Beacon since the Imperial Bedroom and Other Chambers tour.

And still with a small glimmer of hope that we'll see a surprise Hoover Factory. :D

Re: Elvis & The Imposters with Nick Lowe & Los Straitjackets, Queen Elizabeth Theatre, Vancouver, Canada, June 7, 2023

I was going to stay away from looking at the setlist until my date with Elvis next month, but somebody on one of the Elvis Facebook groups was complaining about only new songs being played last night and how Elvis doesn't cater to his old fans. So, of course I had to peek and I...well, I just don't ...

Re: Steve Nieve - The Immobile Tour BackStage

There was a surprise installment of the Immobile Tour on Sunday night, celebrating the anniversary of the release of Momofuku. I only had the chance to catch the first couple of minutes, which featured Steve and Kessada playing Flutter and Wow. Steve said it's his favorite song on the album. Looking...

Yes....it was a top notch tour with the TKO Horns! Here in the USA it was dubbed CLOCKING IN ACROSS AMERICA. And it was the first time I went to as many as five shows on the same tour, including the opener in Allentown, Pennsylvania. A really fantastic tour including some rarely played gems like Po...

Thanks for sharing, BA. I was at this show and don't remember the different take on The Other Side of Summer. My pleasure...upped the ZERO poem too. Do you remember that?? :D :D Honestly, one of his least memorable shows, though still a hoot. Nope, don't remember that one, either. The thing that mo...

Re: Elvis and the Imposters with Charlie Sexton, Wellmont Theatre, Montclair, - 26 February 2023

Another fun night, and happy to see some extra songs added after the shorter casino shows. The Boy Named If and Other Favourites leaned heavily on the Other Favourites of the title. After the Gramercy run, it's hard to be surprised by any particular song showing up, but I wasn't expecting The Comedi...

Had a great time at this show last night. Elvis and the lads were in fine form and still seemed jazzed from their Gramercy adventure. Lots of smiles and pulled faces at each other throughout the proceedings. Standouts for me were Bedlam ("I'd lay down on an iron frame and find myself in Bethleh...
