I'm sure almost everybody on this board is getting pretty excited about the new EC&I recording now in progress and due out in the autumn. Here's some food for thought and fuel for the fires of anticipation. This new album is being recorded in at least 3 different studios with a different produce...

After saying that. . .I'd love to have a tape or CD of one of the shows in Oxford or Memphis! The anticipation iskilling me. This is going to be a VERY long summer!

I agree with the concensus! I had a tape of Blood&Chocolate a good month before it's release. Of course I bought the official CD (and vinyl!) but they just got put on the shelf! I had worn the album out before its' release!

Wow! News of the next album gets more and more exciting! Anybody know who else Jim Dickerson has produced in the past?

Davey also co-produced Hiatt's Little Head album.

Bruce was a flashier bass playey but Davey has a better command of timing. Bruce tended to play on his own during a song, almost isolated from the rest of the band at times. Davey is stronger at being part of the band unit, IMHO.

Sounds very simlar to the recording process for Blood and Chocolate.

Has anyone on the board managed to get tickets to these shows? I sure hope at least one of the faithful will be able to supply an in-depth report of these one-of-a-kind gigs!

I have Clover's epontmous album on vinyl - it is great! - but have never heard Unavailable. This is good news. Clover was a great, underappreciated band!

That Day is Done remains one of my all time fave EC tunes. This story of a ghost visiting his own funeral still sends chills down my spine when I can get a quiet moment to really listen to it. EC's rendition of the song with the Fairfield Four is fantastic!
