Re: Elvis & Imposters, Brussels (Belgium), May 30, 2012

Looks like a Spinning Songbook show will precede the rearranged solo show - might have to spend a few days in Brussels - No hardship!

Re: Elvis/'Spinning , UK tour , May 2012

Got front row at Brighton.

Will go for standing at Cambridge (if that's what it is). Had a great evening there last year with Ray Davies - just like the old Kinks days!

RAH first thing tomorrow is also on my agenda.

Re: Daddy , Can I Turn This - from disaster flight to song

Elvis also sings the refain whilst doing the band intros following Mystery Dance and then moves on to God's Comic reiterating the refrain again - same night 27/07/1996.

Had a re-listen on the train home tonight!

Re: Daddy , Can I Turn This - from disaster flight to song

Whilst I guess it is dangerous to contradict the eminent John Foyle but I have recently been listening to the "Back With A Vengence" Volume 2 bootleg. I was walking our dog Buddy and I suddenly heard the single lyric "Daddy Can I Turn This?" and I stopped in my tracks and checked...

Shipbuilding - in my local pub.

Very strange - usually Dean Martin etc and/or military marching band music!

Re: Costello & Brodskys Bristol Date 2009

OK so no takers here then - I guess those who want to go already have tickets. I returned the tickets to the Box Office yesterday and obtained a refund. When I first got through to the Box Office and asked about returns the lady took me for a buyer and immediately advised me that there had been a wa...

Re: Costello & Brodskys Bristol Date 2009

I have two tickets for this show but will be unable to attend as I am scheduled for surgery.

I still hope to get to the London show.

Happy to sell to EC fans at face value.

Bristol tickets are Central Stalls B 17 & 18 - GBP35 each. Free postage.

Re: Brutal Youth Retrospective

BY is one of EC's greatest albums. I can listen to it for ages!! One thing though has always bugged me is a line in "This Is Hell" . When I listen to this song I always ask myself if the lines:- "My Favourite Things" are playing again and again But it's by Julie Andrews and not b...

Re: 'Lost Highway will release Momofuku from Elvis Costello'

You profligate spender! Well it was fun heading to Fopp on a Monday bank holiday and finding the new Elvis there. Bugger iTunes, this is much more fun. Was hoping for £10, but £12 will do, especially as I also got the Control DVD for a decent £8. Loving it! Opening three tracks are stormers. The or...

Re: Elvis and the Imposters to support The Police?

Well I agree with comments posted above. I saw the Police in Birmingham UK and they were "so lack lustre" in fact the worst gig I attended last year. All I can suggest is if the Police performance is not any better than I witnessed then I am sure Elvis & the Imposters will blow the cro...

My tickets arrived today - let's get the show on the road!!

My last Elvis live show was New Orleans 18th July 2006 - my best show ever! Went over just to see the close of the River In Reverse Tour in the place it was all about.

If London can match it I will be very happy!!!!

I have not received mine either. I have also booked to see Bryan Ferry and they similarly have not arrived. I expect they will show up soon. Bit concerned about any postal strike though.
