Re: New London date - Barbican 23/04/2009

I'm seriously considering this one, I've never heard any of the Brodsky Quartet stuff though. Is Elvis likely to stick to this material or pull out some other stuff along the way?

I won one of those T-Shirts on ebay a couple of years ago for about a fiver.

Nice to see another Celt on here!

Looking forward to this DVD as well, can't wait to hear what will be on it (if it ever surfaces!)

The Deluxe Edition of 'Too-Rye-Aye' by Dexys Midnight Runners which was released earlier this month was recalled because of audio problems/bad mastering, but in this case only on the album (not the bonus tracks). http://www.amazon.co.uk/Too-Rye-Ay-Dexys-Midnight-Runners/dp/B000S850GI/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1...

I liked it. I read it in one sitting, it was easy-going, held my interest and it only cost me three quid. I would definitely pick up On the road...Again if I saw it on the cheap.

Neil, I was big into Joe Jackson and Any Trouble at the time. Getting some EC seemed like the logical progression. If I can get them cheap I have a tendency to buy a couple of albums by a band I'm interested in rather than just one and I was told that the 1st three LPs were classics so...

I got into Elvis about three years ago Neil. I passed on a gig about 2 years ago because I only had the 1st three LP's and didn't think I'd know enough material. Then I heard 'Trust' and then the obsession kicked in, I own most of his back catalogue now. I thought that Saturday night was screaming o...

I was very very ill on the day of the gig, but I made it. Thought it was a good show but a bit too short, though it was clear Elvis was struggling with his voice I had a lot of sympathy for him! It was the first time I've seen Elvis and I will definitely do so again. The horn section were amazing es...

One of the Free papers that we get in London every evening (The London Lite or the London Paper I can't remember which) said that Elvis would be playing the 02 arena on SUNDAY night. Now could this be a free show thats been kept under wraps or something, or did the paper get their wires crossed? Or ...

I like it how the subject of the email is: 'Your tickets have been dispatched!'

Yet the content of the email says 'Your tickets have now been printed and will be dispatched to you shortly'.

At least this is the strongest indication yet that the concert is going ahead.

£100 a head?
Where did you get this figure from? I don't think I'll be paying that after shelling out for the tower of London show. It seems a bit strange, I can't find any more info on the show.
