Re: "Plotting our return, early in the Leap Year"

The " Just Trust Thursday Clues" so far : In addition to the Hammersmith / Harlem pair, EC has posted a picture of a fabulous looking Sunderland Empire, and "Crumpstall's Finest" ie Freddie Garitey of Freddie and the Dreamers. So guess I'll be going to Mudchester in February, whe...

Colywn Bay : Clive Langer and the Boxes supporting. yeah supporting the next night in Southport too. Obviously decades ago now, but I think I was a bit disappointed with Clive and his band. I loved Deaf School, so was hoping for more of the same from one of their leading lights. Clearly he went on ...

Nothing obscure about Goodison, but I don't think EC has ever actually played the home of English football :D

In 1980 I saw the epic gig at Southport's Floral Hall, a repeat would be most welcome.

I was gobsmacked this morning as EC's face loomed out of my Guardian newspaper amongst the newly named recipients of 2019 Queen's Birthday Honours. Elvis when you least expect it! Good to read his 'explanation', good to see he still listens to his Mum, given the critical words he has uttered in the ...

Spotify lists 8 tracks : https://open.spotify.com/playlist/4201B ... NGdZ5474fH

So I guess the piece above seems to refer to Robert Wyatt's original version of Shipbuilding, rather than EC.

Sulky

This seems to have been quite a different show to the epic one Steve played to open the Music Room at Liverpool's Phil in 2015, am I right?

Sorry I couldn't make it.

Ok , right said Fred.

" We Oughta be Ashamed"

But you have to remember that we're having to find things to do whilst whiling away the days (weeks/months/years) waiting for an announcement of an EC tour of the UK. Hence more of this 'humour' is at least a possibility .

This is great news!

I really hope that "Elsie" tours to promote this in the UK (and doesn't just hook up with Blondie in the US like her alter ego)!

Thanks for the update MooT

Yes he was in Liverpool. Snapped in 81 Renshaw St a v.small indie record store.
I assume he was also checking on progress of Face in the Crowd at the Royal Court.
Sulky, he did come to mine, but I was out on the allotment. It's a plot

I found it satisfactory at best, .... Am I the only one here who doesn't think Look Now is a masterpiece? Nope, count on me in that regard too. But there are tons of other LPs that I do think are epic, so there are plenty of alternatives vying for my attention. Can't remember the last time I gave P...
