Re: Elvis & The Imposters play Eventim Olympia, Liverpool, February 28, 2020

Hi History Despite never actually attending I can offer some insights I hope. History of the venue is available via Wikipedia and a google search will show images of the arena. Basically it's a U-shape and this show has 1200 standing downstairs, plus 750 ie two balconies of 'unreserved seating'. The...

Harry -it's a great spec on row B of the Top Balcony - for me the best in the ground and where I sit none of those pesky pillars which can bedevil the Upper Bullens - Don't confuse me with being confused  Death -The Picket show is my all time favourite, although they've all been shades of grea...

Re: "Plotting our return, early in the Leap Year" (2020 UK tour)

Hi John

Our world has turned upside down - I plumped for the £65 seats (that cost £74.51) and find myself in the side stalls Q row - Davy and the singers' side - so you'll be looking down on me!

All the best

Hi John - no I am loyal to the only true Top Balcony at Goodison Park :D My elbows aren't as sharp as they used to be, but being a bit of a shorta**e I am still attracted to the idea of being right at the very front. There's no fool like an old fool..... See you on the barricades and up the Toffees.

Re: "Plotting our return, early in the Leap Year" (2020 UK tour)

Glad you got sorted Frankie My heart sank when I spotted that EC's site had changed overnight and I couldn't find the pre-sale link. In a flat spin I rang Sulky, but he didn't answer :( , then went back to EC and clicked desperately and bingo, was put in a queue at 9.30 with a promise at 10am to be ...

Re: "Plotting our return, early in the Leap Year" (2020 UK tour)

There are usually some well priced seats labelled “possible restricted view”, to the side of the front stalls....the view is pretty good from the main stalls seats... Thanks John, we have agreed that we will limit ourselves to the £65s (+f.bf) wherever that will get us at the City Hall. I will also...

Re: "Plotting our return, early in the Leap Year" (2020 UK tour)

Thanks for the info! I read there’s a presale on the 18th and the 19th before general sale on the 20th. Was that maybe a typo or is there really two presales? I had to ring the venues, with varied results :Liverpool were great - Sheffield could only advise the bandwidths not where they will apply, ...

Re: Elvis's most 'Marmite' project

Now for me that particular Custard Cream goes to Momofuku ! interesting, I have Momofuku as a bit of a bourbon cream ( aka a 'dog biscuit' in the Top Balcony household. Only stand out track is the epic 'Three Sons', although honourable mention to 'Pardon me Madam, My Name is Harry Worth'. So nowher...

inviting controversy : Look Now I don't actually hate it, or even fail to get it ( in the manner that I don't get North) it's just a massive disappointment, having waited so long for some 'product' son of PfM is a big let down. Overproduced, over strung, over backing sung and underwhelmed. But I am ...

I think calling the film epic is generous. Entertaining yes, but it was also quite frustrating and left many questions unanswered.

Re: Relatively Insignificant EC Stuff. . .

There's a brief scene in Danny Boyle's epic movie "Yesterday" where the PR Guy is running thru his marketing strategy, in the background are large black and white images, mocked up for the campaign to launch Jack Malik's first product. Unmistakably one is JM striking the full This Year's M...
