Re: Elvis & The Imposters with Charlie Sexton at McMenamins Edgefield Amphitheater, Troutdale, OR, June 2, 2024

I think these eleven paragraphs are his writing... Elvis Costello is a writer and part-time musician who made a number of records in the 20th Century, some of which are still remembered today. He was born in London and raised there and in Liverpool. Costello is the composer or lyricist of over six h...

Re: It's official! tour with Daryl Hall summer 24

Costello adds: “We are looking forward to kicking off the show in style in the certainty that Daryl will deliver a slam-bang finish.” I didn't think this would be a co-headlining show. I think co headlining implies 75 minute sets each which is a good thing. I guess it would mean Daryl joins the Imp...

Re: It's official! tour with Daryl Hall summer 24

I'm thinking they might do more than FLAME. Last year, with my bud TODD RUNDGREN, Daryl and he dueted 3 songs at Hall's encore: one Hall and Oates, one TR and a cover of the soul classic: DIDN'T I BLOW YOUR MIND THIS TIME! I'll gladly sign on for a similar approach this year.

Still no circulating recordings of nights 2 and 8 :( I have 11 songs from night 2 and 17 from night 8. NP....may I recommend you reach out to doc Larry? I would bet he can help you chronicle these for the sharing. I bet there were various other YouTubes of other songs by other tapers that y...

Re: A Town Called Riddle

Does anyone know anything about this song? I've never heard it and can't find it on YouTube as a fan vid. What's the style? He does it as an opener on the current tour, so I'm guessing it's a rocker (would be rare to open with a ballad). Funny you should say that Neil. I've been meaning to look for...

Hope so....wish I was in a road tripping frame of mind. Enter into the mix, winter storm calamities and I didn't even consider it. Wish this 707 tour veered a little more north. I've been longing to see him in Delaware at long last. :D Happy 24 to all. ba

Naysayers be damned, it was a wonderful surprise to those of us actually in attendance. I agree 100%... wish I was there of course and glad you were Charles. Not a tremendous Billy fan myself in any recent years...but his mid 70s output was exceptional. TURNSTILES is my fave. 1983 was funny when EC...
