Re: Elvis & The Imposters, Cardiff, June 17th 2018

Thanks

Wish I'd known you were behind me I would have shared a beer with you afterwards.

As for the recording, that would be a wonderful memento.

Cheers

Re: Elvis & The Imposters, Cardiff, June 17th 2018

Cardiff Bay. A new venture for me I must confess. I had been to Cardiff before but not the waterfront area in which the excellent Millenium Centre was situated. A Welsh friend of mine had suggested that the Bay was "lush", which I believe means in modern day parlance, "rather splendid...
Setlist should read PIU instead of the first PLU
Yes apologies for this. I was desperately trying to write down the songs as they were performed on my IPhone "Notes" and mistook PIU (Pump It Up) for PLU which of course was performed later in the show......

Re: New website

I don't like it. The fact that it looks like all of their other websites is the problem. It's not personalised enough. It's just the same tired old template, concentrating on ticket sales and merchandise. If it's a work in progress, fine. If EC gets involved with it, as he did the other one, using i...

Re: A Face In The Crowd: new musical

The 19th song would be “Adieu Paris (L’Envie Des Etoiles”).

Wasn't it suggested that he had recently written this song for the production?

The ASCAP songs are now divided between Costello & MacManus so you now need 2 searches instead of one.

OK. So "Entangled" is part of the Il Sogno suite so that clears that one up.

Re: Mystery songs on ASCAP site

There are 6 new songs on the ASCAP site though I can only find 5 of them. "Married To My Hack" and "6 Months in Kansas City" from The New Basement Tapes have finally been added, along with 2 songs from that project that have yet to see the light of day but which have appeared in ...

Re: Mystery songs on ASCAP site

I'm wondering whether we can take everything that the ASCAP site says at face value. I've been looking at this in some detail and have found quite a few anomalies. For example. The song count has now gone up to 646 which means that 3 extra songs have been added but on close inspection these would ap...

Re: Elvis (solo ) plays Jackson,WY , April 13th 2016

The song "Vital Checks" is most certainly called "Vitajex". One look at the Wikipedia entry for the film "A Face In the Crowd" reveals this as part of the plot. It was a radio "jingle" sung by the lead character Lonesome Rhodes to promote some male tonic.

Perhaps "A Case Of You" was also included as Joni is, by all accounts, lying in a hospital bed and still unwell.
