Notice the way he sings "She's picking out names I hope ALL of them are mine" Poor kid I think that lyrical tweak goes back as far as the 80's. I love it though. It changes the psychological angle from paranoid to narcissistic - at least in my own interpretation. Or is it TPPD who has gon...

Re: Hysteria

I am honoured to be personal target for some reason of turquoise pie jams invective. There are FLAC etc shows CLEARLY LABELLED for people who want them, and CLEARLY LABELLED slightly more compressed/digitally adulterated formats for others. When I first purchased CD eventually in 1985 I hated it, a...

This one sounds pretty good. Apparently recorded by plugging into one of the remote listening devices for the hearing impaired. Weird balance -- vocals dominant -- but quite listenable. Too bad about the truncated Festival setlist... It's a very weird recording, indeed. I attempted to enhance the s...

Re: Problematic

Whilst accepting that most human beings at time are 'problematic', I am convinced that the sum of appropriate human happiness is increased amongst other things by: a) people releasing top-quality recordings for commercial/free distribution. b) people sharing non-copyright music in any way whatsoeve...

Re: Soul

. Although I agree in theory with aim of trying to get 'best quality' Recordings - FLAC etc ... - I am sure I am not the only one who has heard even an otherwise unobtainable low-rate e.g. 64 kps .mp3 being sonically/musically better than some pristine WAV quality file. It's not so much the charlie...

Is there a particular show you're looking for (or several shows)? If so, perhaps I (or another kind soul :) ) can upload them to DIME. At least there you'll have lossless audio which most people prefer. Just a thought...

It's solid. It probably could have benefitted from having the levels set a bit higher - but a bit quiet is better than clipped and distorted. Listening to "Poisoned Rose" now...excellent rendition!

I have Tears Before Bedtime downloaded. The recording doesn't seem to have any major flaws. It's a bit distant sounding (read: quiet). It's a pretty standard sounding EC audience recording. Glad to see some shows surfacing though!

His unwillingness to mix things up a bit may be the involvement of Allen Toussaint and the Crescent Horns. I think you're probably right here. However, the Crescent Horns aren't the local elementary school band trying to play "Michael Row The Boat Ashore" for the first time. These guys ar...
