Hey Ready,

Thanks for the help. I downloaded VLC, but the audio was incredibly distorted. Not sure why that is. Guess I'm doomed not to catch a normal glimpse of this show. :((

Call me a half-wit, but I can't get this to play. The files have .vob, .bup, and .ifo extension. Not sure what these are or what to do with them. Any help out there? :)

I've got absolutely no EC on video. So if someone wants to post a video torrent to DIME than that would pretty much kick ass! :D

Oops, it looks like I goofed my attempt to quote Mistaken when I posted. Anyway, I have "Parting Glass" that I can post. But if Martin wants to put it up, that works too! Thanks Martin! :)

I had no idea he covered the Parting Glass. That's a great Irish song and it would be an excellent tribute to Derek Bell. Is this version of Elvis's available anywhere? It sounds incredibly moving and I would love to hear it.[/quote] He performed "Parting Glass" in October of 2002 in Chica...

KH, Look for that to be posted in the next day or so. There are some additional tracks from another source/venue that I am trying to figure out what to do with. My version of the show looks like this: Elvis Costello and The Rude 5 September 2, 1991 Sonic City Hall, Omiya, Japan Disc 1 1) Tokyo Storm...

Hey Martin,

I do have that one. I'll get that one posted. Any thoughts on Chrille's request for an '81 or '82 show? The Forest Hills show is pretty decent if I recall. I'll have to listen again to make sure it's as decent as I believe it to be.

Hey Chrille, That's right you did mention that. I'll scour through and see what I can find from that era that's decent. I'm not sure how many great sounding recordings there are from then. Will you settle for good-sounding? :) The Rude 5 members are: James Burton, Jerry Scheff, Marc Ribot and Jim Ke...

New torrent musings...

Someone on DIME has requested the 10/21/86 NYC show with the Attractions which I'll get up in the next day or so. That will conclude this installment of 1986 shows from me for the moment. Onto the next batch...Does anyone have anything they'd like to hear? I was thinking of maybe putting up a Rude 5...

Ahhh, good point Pup. "Rhumba" is a pretty nice recording. The trade-off is that the setlist is kind of weak (at least I think so, for whatever that's worth :) ).

Chrille, To the best of my knowledge there are no high-quality soundboard-ish recordings of EC and the Confederates in circulation, although I wish there were. However, it is worth having at least one of the Boston or New York (and I believe there is a halfway decent one from the UK, Manchester mayb...

Hey Charlie, I'm pretty sure what you were saying is that too much is made out of sharing uncompressed music files. If that's the case, I agree. Either I have a poor ear or there is not a discernible difference to the average listener between .wav, .flac, etc and the "lossy" formats. Howev...

Well, I've put the show on DIME; however, I can't seem to be able to figure out how to seed the show. It shows me as a leecher - and the show itself is showing as a dead torrent. I've tried using Morpheus and BitTornado to no avail. Morpheus just tells me I'm "connecting" indefinitely, whi...

Thanks Chrille for the tips. The process seems to make sense to me at this point. I will give it a whirl hopefully in the next 24 hours. I'm thinking I'll do the 10/16/86 Boston show with Attractions. If that goes well, then I'll roll out the other two Boston shows that followed the next couple of n...

Torrent upload help/requests?

Hello everyone, I'm a long time fan from the Boston area. Addtionally, I'm a long-term reader of this site, but I'm just getting around to posting. What I'd like to do is start uploading some EC shows to DIME. However, I'm a .torrent rookie and need a little help in figuring out the process of uploa...
