Ooh, even the repugnant little mini-suite that came with "North"? I really wish I'd never seen that.

And does this mean the updated text due in the UK paperback is included in the US?) I guess so. Graeme has sinced moved on to another music related book so , while he still remains a Costello fan , ' Shadows is very much a 'job done' as far as he is concerned. I don't suppose you have contact info ...

I think this is pretty much on-topic too. Though perhaps a ref. to the song title might have been helpful. Yeah, I guess it's a bit obscure, innit: "telling teenage fortunes"? I'll try to negotiate my way through the unspoken rules of Forum etiquette, but in the meantime please bear with ...

This kind of thing isn't going to stop until the Muslim community decides to quash radicalism from within. So far too many are content to turn a blind eye while their brethren are inciting hatred against the infidel. No, crap like the Iraq war is not helping, nor is Israel's bizarre and contradictor...

staggerlee, In the future, you'll notice we have two areas, the Elvis general discussion area, and The Annex, which is devoted to off-topic posts. This is definitely something that belongs in the Annex, just so you know in the future. In any case, welcome, fellow canuck! Well, I suppose, but the re...

Hello, hello. Nice to be here. Can't believe it took me so long to find the place. My sister used to work at the A&B Sound (record store) in Nanaimo (where Diana Krall's from). She went into work one day and was talking about EC - this was during the time I was banging on about EC all day & ...

My friend in Gifu couldn't find one. If you find a horde of them, I'm sure you could make a mint selling them on the Forum. I'd like one....

Well, I don't know what to tell you about songs they may do at the show, but you won't ever go wrong buying her gorgeous album Wrecking Ball. A masterpiece all 'round, from her otherworldly voice to Daniel Lanois' shimmering production. One of my favourite albums of all time.

EC Anonymous?

This happened to me a while ago and I was wondering if any other Forumites had had similar experiences. Just before WIWC was released I picked up some of the Rhino rereleases, which - to make a long story short - sparked a TOTAL ELVIS BLOWOUT. For the better part of two years I could listen to littl...

" When I Was Cruel No. 2 " is a song like few other Costello compositions that makes this album special. Seemingly without a theme, it never offers a good grip or foothold to establish a 'center', but it still works when considered as the sum of its parts. Hmmm... kinda like a microcosm o...

I hated WIWC when I first heard it. Tried and tried and failed to like it. Put it away for about 6 months, and was completely blown away by it. One of his best, I think, and reveals more facets of itself over time.
