Re: Costello & Nieve: 15 songs from 50 years, Leeds (UK), Sept 2 & 3, 2024

Anyone else had issues with the presale? I’ve had tickets in my basket several times, then the transaction won’t go through and you get a rather unhelpful error message. “Sorry, there was a problem. Please check your entry and try again.” Tried this on several different devices, different browsers,...

Re: What's your best ever EC gig?

Yes that will be me. There were enough elements from that evening which would have made it a contender for my best ever : I managed to get in (via the kindness of a friend and strangers) without a ticket, in a tiny club in my hometown, was on the front barrier, inches from the small-postage-stamp-s...

I’d replace Punch The Clock with either Brutal Youth or All This Useless Beauty but apart from that I’d choose the same top 8.

Re: Meaning - Mr Crescent?

Changing the original subject and not wishing to get into the "Riot Act" argument you could make almost a double album of great Elvis closers. Surely "Big Sister's Clothes", "Unexpected 4", "Favourite Hour", "Town Cryer" and "The Birds Will Sti...

Re: Elvis quasi announces summer tour at night one Gramercy

What tour dates are these then? Pretenders currently doing a tour of very small Uk venues, saw them at Deaf Institute in Manchester last weekend. Chrissie’s voice is still just so great & the musicians she’s got up onstage with here are fantastic (the 3 of them are also in their own band called ...

What a brilliant interview. Thanks for sharing.
Painted From Memory has always been one of my favourites & I’ve had it on a lot since hearing the sad news about Burt.

Nice one, coincidentally I'm in London that weekend. :) Any chance we could start a bit earlier though, 12 for example? I've got to be at a football match on the other side of London that kicks off at 3. Please ignore my request to meet earlier than 1. I’m now not going to be able to make it along ...

Back to the music for a minute. Tipsy Woman sounded fantastic. I hope they record this. Where has he picked this up from? People with obviously better ears than mine suggested that he said something about 'a B-side', but I didn't pick that up. Maybe the B-side for a new single from TBNI, but it fee...

Re: EC & The Imposters with Charlie Sexton - UK Tour, June 2022

Got tickets in the stalls for Liverpool with the presale code.
It'll be my 5th time seeing EC in Liverpool and my 31st time altogether.
Yes the tickets were expensive but the way I look at it, one day it won't be possible to go and see EC anymore and I'll still be wishing I'd seen him more times.
