Pictures of Doc and I with Elvis after the show. It was all rather rushed, so we got what we could!

Elvis mentioned that T Bone was at the show, but we were thrilled to see him exit where we were waiting for Elvis afterwards. I didn't have anything for him to sign, so I just asked if he would mind a photo and he more than happily obliged!

And I had just played TDM in the car on the drive to Nashville, so we were thrilled for that song! He played such a tremendous setlist in 2009 and loads of songs from KOA and the Sugarcanes were absolutely on point that night. I suppose I was expecting something more along those lines. Or that time ...

It did appear that he enjoyed the venue enough to play a lengthier setlist, though I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a bit disappointed by the lack of country music. I *do* love me some country Elvis. Also a tad bummed about the lack of any KOA songs, but we get what we get. And I *did* get a picture ...

Anyone else for Nashville tonight? Anyone?? You know it's dangerous to miss a Ryman show, people!

It was a fabulous night, and I still can't believe it worked out for us to be there. I'm still reeling...

Wish I could be there! I'll meet Verbal one of these days...

I'm sure Verbal isn't all that bad. I've made plenty of mistakes in my life and he seems rather harmless.

I'm going! (ok, I don't have tickets yet, but John Foyle says that won't be a problem). Joel has business in Edinburgh that week and we'll fly in on Friday! Woohoo!

Thank you, Neil. The news has since surfaced that he took his own life, and I'm still quite shaken.

I resurrect this very ancient thread tonight because teleburst (AKA Dave Weil, host of Poptop on Radio Free Nashville and good friend of me, Dr. Spooky and Cosmos) went on to the great beyond today. I am gutted beyond measure and cannot adequately express my sadness. Dave was an amazing man, a lover...
