Re: My Flame Burns Blue - vinyl debut on BLUE VINYL , June 2016

I meant there were surprisingly little Beatles albums in my collection. As I remember it I had a complete collection of The Beatles by then, but not if I should trust the picture. But, yes, The Beatles where at their lowest critical status then. Only John Lennon was accepted then. In fact it took me...

Re: My Flame Burns Blue - vinyl debut on BLUE VINYL , June 2016

When I took those pictures of the Costello albums it was because I remembered that I took a picture of my album collection in 1985/86 just like that. I have now found that picture. At my feet is a copy of NME from nov 1985: The greatest records ever made? NME names its top 100 lps. There are lots of...

PS: I am almost certain that my copy of El Mocambo is a pirate one. Bought it cheap on eBay. It is not important for me.

Re: My Flame Burns Blue - vinyl debut on BLUE VINYL , June 2016

Thank you.I found Kojak Variety for sale for the same price as My Flame Burns Blue. I will order that one. The others are probably too expensive. I would really like a copy of For The Stars though.

Re: My Flame Burns Blue - vinyl debut on BLUE VINYL , June 2016

I have El Mocambo, but none of the others. Extreme Honey is a Greatest Warner Hits, no? Deep Dead Blue is not really a Costello album? As for the two other albums, I did not know there were any vinyl editions. I want them. I looked at the Wiki and found that I am missing thees albums on vinyl: L1028...

Re: What are you listening to right now?

The Next Day - David Bowie. His best since since Heathen. Or since Scary Monsters. Like Dylan his latest albums are the best he has made the last 30 years.

Trondheim is 100km northeast from me. I will probably attend. Don't think Elvis have played this far north before.

I watched the iTunes Live concert last night. A well made production, but it was a bit boring.

I like it. It is more like Swordfishtrombone than his latest. Vinyl is made in Canada. First time I see a vinyl LP from Canada since the '80-s.

You can buy it from iTunes if you have a US account and an iPad. It would take almost 30 screenshots to copy the article. Maybe later.

Re: David Bowie - Comeback?

It's only the 3xcd box. I preordered it from Amazon and I got it on monday.

I have not listened to it that much. Scaned the cover and transfered both it and the music to my new iPad and took the picture.

Re: Recent CD Purchases

'The Correct Use of Soap' is a very good record. I recomend the 3-cd box called (Maybe it's right to be nervous now). The cd's are cheap now. I bought 6 Dylan cd's for 20,- from Amazon.uk (that's about 200,-, NOK the NO tax free limit). In the early 80's a so called 'nice price' album was priced at ...

Thanks!

Bono namedropped The Clash alot of limes, and for good or worse he is no J. Strummer. Some good music. Worth the time.

Re: What are you listening to right now?

I have to agree on David Live, it´s not that bad. It´s quite good, or at least a lot better than I remember it. I think The Suburbs are their best album, but I have to admit I don´t listen to a new album as intensively as I used to. 20 years ago when I heard a new record for the first time I could p...

Re: What are you listening to right now?

I am trying to complete my Bowie iTunes collection and ordered Tonight (the last new Bowie record I bought for almost 20 years), Never Let Me Down (never heard it, but it is supposed to be really bad), The Buddha Of Suburbia and Live Santa Monica '72 (I am looking forward to both of them). I think I...

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v714/treball/220810_0110.jpg (THIS time the iPhone is on top of the Arcade Fire sleeve) I went "digital" this summer and put all my CD´s into iTunes. Many of my favourite records are on LP, so I have been buying a lot of CD´s that I already had on vinyl l...
