At least one of these artistes is a big fan of EC. In an interview with the Alternative Press (1998-05-01) Molly Ringwald said: I've always loved Elvis Costello. I remember my age by which Elvis Costello record I was listening to at the time." And at least one of the other artistes on the bill ...

Elvis Costello world tour 2006

Forgive me for being self-serving here, but details have just emerged of EC's appearance at the Sydney Opera House, next January, playing with Steve Naive and an orchestra. Specifically: 7 to 26 January 2006 Elvis Costello and the Sydney Symphony, at Sydney Opera House, Sydney. Costello performs com...

This sounds rather like the "Sold on Song" event which he did for the BBC in London two years ago. Mariella Frostrup interviewed him in front of an audience of BBC hacks at the Cafe de Paris in London, and EC played a few of his faves from "North". You can see the press release, ...

I was chatting to EC's lighting engineer after the Nottingham gig last night. Apparently, EC is touring next year (2006) with Steve and an orchestra and the Honolulu date looks like part of that tour. My information is that EC will undertake an Asian and Australasian tour taking in Australia, New Ze...

EC's Good year for the Roses was playing in my local Morrisons supermarket yesterday afternoon.

I couldn't see any special offer going on in the Floristry section, so I guess this was just one track on what seemed to be a 1980's compilation that they had on.......

Nottingham, Thursday 26 May

Is anyone else going to be at the Royal Centre tonight? We can (I presume) expect a reasonably upbeat EC. Prior to last night's European Cup Win, Johnnie Walker played "(I don't want to go to) Chelsea" on his BBC Radio 2 show, and dedicated it to all Liverpool fans. Other songs to look out...

EC on BBC Radio two with Mark Lamarr and Victoria Wood !

EC was the final guest on Mark Lamarr's show on BBC Radio 2 this morning. The other guest, who hung around for EC's appearance, was Victoria Wood, who failed to get many words in once EC was in full flow. Listen again here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio2/ EC will be about 2 hours 30 minutes into the sh...
