I think this is the best new sitcom since Seinfeld. I haven't made it a point to watch anything on Thursday nights since The Office came on. Steve Carell is hysterical! I'm really into Rainn Wilson's "Dwight." He is absolutely brilliant playing that character! By the way, I grew up in the...

"The Lemonheads" on its way to my home as we speak.

Not much respect for Dando on this board from my hazy recollection.

I wish you'd give him a chance. He's a hell of a songwriter.

As for the Bush comments. It was about 10 seconds of a 90+ minutes show. Elvis explains that the show lacks the pyrotechnics you may see at other concerts. His concert, he explains, makes up for it by having an Action Figure of President George W Bush. Then he points at a 6' doll proped up next to ...

I swore off live Elvis a few years ago when my brother, a few friends and I left a Chicago concert after 2 or 3 straight Bush bashing interludes. I happen to agree with most all of Bush's policies on the war the economy, mostly everything except Religion and immigration (am I even allowed to have t...

Now, now, VG, the law in America is a direct and proud descendant of the law in your neck of the woods, so it's a transatlantic piece of ass we are talking about. I think even Republicans might be blushing at this excessive indulgence.

I wonder how his anti Bush rant will play out?

I can just see Kanye West and his posse heckling from the cheap seats ($300).

This takes Limousine liberalism to a new level!

But, what do I know? Maybe it's all for Cherity.

Costello releases more re-issues than any other artist. Granted, he's also more prolific, but the 5th or 6th time I bought Get Happy I started to feel a touch resentful. The file sharing discussion is one I'm not interested in, but I've just got to wonder why Elvis would want to dilute his catalog t...

I honestly don't understand the inclusion of B Movie on all these lists. Is this mass hysteria?

A great song in a great position on a great record.

There are a few energetic throwaways on GH, but B Movie is definitely not one of them.

5ive Gears in Reverse?

Maybe I don't understand the question.

Many years later we found ourselves in Canada, trying to save our marriage. I'd serenade you every night, but you'd never come round to hear it. Alibi.

Absolutely ruined on WIWC.

One of the hungriest songs he has composed in years reduced to a bloated, plodding never was.

During a show at his solo tour during Goodbye Cruel World he sang the first refrain as: "I picked you up like Motel Matches", then went on to sing the others as "giving you away". I'll betcha had he thought of it, that would've been in the early refrain on the record also. But wh...

I think Case is probably about where he wants to be. He may not be a household name, but he's still making music, and on his own terms. I met him in Chicago back in 86 or 87, when he was grabbing a little limelight, and he was a congenial, down to earth fellow. The broken guitar string remark is kin...

Mitch Hedberg WAS stand up comedy.

I begged my friends to go see him in KC a while back and had no takers so I missed it.

FUCK.

This is a horrible thing. He was a genius. FUCK.

This is as bad as Elliott Smith.

He was the fucking Beatles.

GO BUY HIS TWO CDS IMMEDIATELY.

Gotta admit that this record is growing on me immensely. Being a Bush fan, the overt slant at first was hard to swallow. But the record is pretty damn great still. Hell, Green Day becomes the Posies halfway through this record, and that's a good thing! Never wanted to like this band. But I'm a junki...
