It's certainly less annoying than Madonna's sudden-onset British accent.

He's been spending the majority of his time in America for quite a while. I suppose some alteration of accent was inevitable. Yank corruption.

I love the recorded version. It's probably my favorite thing on that album. Despite the lyrics not being particularly uplifting, the song never fails to make me a little happy fizzy inside.

Stevie Wonder stole the show. I enjoyed it for the most part. My only complaint is Lyle Lovett. The guy has a very sketchy voice, and his face hurts my eyes. I don't know why he always gets invited to these things.

I thought this might be of interest to EC fans. Mrs. Krall is one of the performers.

You should probably listen to these other people, since my knowledge of drumming would fit on the head of a pin, but I've always enjoyed his work on Get Happy the most. It's simple but memorable, which probably has a lot to do with the style of music on that album.

That was my favorite part of the show. He played Secondary Modern right into Watch Your Step without a break, making it a great hunk of glory.
