Re: RIP JESSE WINCHESTER!

Jesse adopted Montreal and we adopted him.

That first album played and played , it brings back great memories of long ago heady times.

Who knew back then that some kid in Liverpool was dreaming to the same soundtrack.

Thanks for the tunes Jesse.

Has anybody taken a stab at pinpointing a track by track listing of EC's exact contributions?

another fine obscure tune, North is the title track of an album on which it does not even appear.

Being a Canadian of French origins I'm particularly fond of this one.

Of course you've all missed out on the reason some why crucial tracks were omitted, they're being saved for "In Motion Pictures II - The Sequel". Universal had better hurry up though because methinks Watercamp will get there first. I still have plenty of Album Compilations left to get thr...

excellent version, anyone have the whole show to post?

The version full band version of It's time on the Live A Case For Song from The Later Tonight on Jools Holland is also a killer.

Love this song.

ordered from Amazon Canada before the Nov. 19th release date but they back ordered it, got notified on the week end that it's now in the mail. It's not the collection it could be as others have mentioned, seems like record companies are just not listening to the hard core fans these days and they wo...

sorry, no can do, integral part of my life since since February 9th, 1964.

There were times I thought that he had lost it for good but who can blame him for wanting to escape Beatlemania? I'm happy he found his Yoko Ono and something resembling a normal life.

Watching The Detectives 35th ann. Oct. 14 1977-2012

Remember the first time you heard this? For me it was the UK Stiff single and I played it over and over marveling at how different it sounded from the material on My Aim Is True. Too bad the green one is still down, I have a great 17 version compilation I wanted to share. Watching The Detectives Wri...

Sham-a-ling-dong-ding is the title and that performance is just magic, every time I play it I get the same shiver through my entire body.

EC has done a few covers of Jesse over the years including Third Rate Romance all the way back in Flip City.

The man knows his song, naked or dressed for the ball. This version is interesting, it's so bare and breathes so large but the released version from Spike is "MASSIVE". The funk generated by The Dirty Dozen Brass Band is infectious, the vocal interplay, the clanging pipe. I played it a hal...

Re: You were right, wherever you are.

Considering the title track is about the country I have lived in all my life, I am a little bias.
It's not my favorite EC album (tha'll always be MAIT) but I do like the maturity of North not to mention the great cover.
My only complaint is that North is not on North, or any other compilation...yet.
