Anyone going to this show? I got my tix last week, and I am so excited to see my first EC show in 3 years (second time ever).

It's easy to see here (and I've also experienced this with people I've talked to) that people either love ND or totally dislike/don't understand it. There seems to be no middle ground on this one.

I knew that, but I just thought that hearing him do his interpretation of that song on his own might be nice to hear. I really enjoyed the Grammy performance also.

I would love to hear "Oliver's Army" (sorry, it's a favorite of mine) or "Everyday I Write The Book" (The 'heavier' live version). Just my opinion.

How about a version of "London Calling" or "Tommy Gun" (or any other Clash song for that matter)? Maybe too obvious, or maybe not--what do you think?

I also am willing to wait. There's nothing like getting a new disc, getting anxious during the trip home, and then putting it on for the first time.

I agree with the "early MTV" years (1981-84, approximately). One great '80's band, IMHO, is the Smithereens. "Especially For You" rocks!!

I voted no, simply because I think that although all albums probably have some "clunkers", that's what seems to make the good songs better and more appreciable. No matter what Elvis feels he needs to say, just let him say it, because deep down we know we'll always listen...a few times anyw...
