Re: Elvis plays Warwick , May 9 2016

I opted for a drive up the M40 rather than double the price tickets for the Palladium. Never been to the venue so looking forward to a new tick on the gig map

Re: Bootlegs and a moral dilemma

(Brother Can You Spare A) DIME usually err on the side of caution in these matters. I was informed after offering to post a John Cale Tribute To Nico at the RFH that I taped that 'the artist's people' had asked for the tape already uploaded to be removed as it was going to be officially released. You can audibly hear Elvis sing off mic as he reacts in the direction of the (slight lateness?!) of audience participation

I needn't have worried. 2 1\2 hours just flew by with the encores being longer than the main set. Dr Luther's Assistant had me grinning li...

Re: Mobile Fidelity to re-release Get Happy

The 3 Mobile Fidelity so far were truly excellent, from the original anologue masters. anything that can give Porky Peckham's work a boot get my thumbs up. Its about time someone aped the promo version and put GH out on 2 LPs. These are audophile releases for vinyl junkies. There's no aiming to get ...

Well I took delivery of TYM and AF Mofi LPs yesterday and got to say - v impressed. Even after all these years I'm hearing new little things and sounds jumping out at me. I found the MAIT MoFi pressing a little quiet and lacked brightness. However these two have plenty of punch, depth and a wonderfu...

Re: Elvis's last great album

For me its When I Was Cruel (although have been listening to A&SC a hell of a lot since seeing the solo gigs) or The Delivery Man And I adore, Episode Of Blonde, the faux sweet chorus is sublime and Elvis's glee and swagger as he spits out the lyrics in the verses is infectious. 'My Blue Window'...
