Re: New release based on one of Elvis Costello and the Attractions most celebrated albums!!

'Unprecedented'... 'based on'... So if it's unprecedented, it won't be loads of alternate takes, cos we've had that. Maybe it's a live album taken from on the 'Imperial Bedroom and Other Chambers' tour? Wasn't "The Return of the Spectacular Spinning Songbook" a live album? Not unprecedent...

I noticed they did the same thing for the Port Chester shows. They wouldn't show the seat map. Weird.

Re: Elvis and The Imposters, Port Chester, NY, October 29 & 30 2019

Night 2 thoughts: EC's vocals were definitely rougher vs Night 1. Keeping the set lengths under 2 hours is a good idea if he's going to sustain a full tour at a high level. I was looking forward to hearing Charm School, but it really was a mess vocally at the start. On the plus side, he played Photo...

Yes, most likely. He has to play the hits, but we as a group tend to like the rarities. The more obscure the better.

Re: Elvis and The Imposters, Port Chester, NY, October 29 & 30 2019

Elvis at the Cap, always a treat. Some observations: 1. I really like the current arrangement of Strict Time, the opener. Much more than the standard album version I heard live in 2011. He slows it down and adds the female vocals for a really beautiful effect. I believe that Davey does the vocal arr...

The current arrangement of I Can't Stand Up/High Fidelity is really good! I know it's in every show and looks very ho-hum when reading the setlist, but man it kicks ass in the live setting. Kitten and Briana's vocals are especially strong here.
