Re: Steve Nieve - The Immobile Tour BackStage

I'm a bit unclear on the availability of SN's Immobile Tour broadcasts these days? Where can I see them? Are they on You Tube? If not, why not? You need to join them via Patroen it costs $10 a month or something like that. Muriel messaged me to say I hadnt joined yet. But 9pm on a sunday night isnt...

Re: New song “Hey Clockface / How Can You Face Me’, sept 11, 2020

P.S. To add to the list of singers who seem to have titanium vocal chords, I would add Mick Jagger! You may laugh but Maura and I have seen Leo Sayer a couple of times in recent years, including May 2019. His voice is incredable for a man of 71. You could see why he was a big star on the 70's and e...

What a turn up for the books. Blood and Chocolate is such a great record.

thank you for the poll. Really interesting to see what the forum's favourite songs are on each album even though I dont think mine has won any of them.

Re: New song “Hey Clockface / How Can You Face Me’, sept 11, 2020

A decent song on first listen, very Jimmie's, Voice in the dark and Sulphur to sugarcane. The voice isn't great but we have to remember like all of us old father time is catching up with the great man. What is he 66 now? I think the way EC sings has always taken it out of his voice. Someone mention ...

Re: Do you have a favorite EC concert?

First night of the residency at the Royalty Theatre London 1986. First time I’d travelled outside Ireland to see EC & the A’s. Intimate venue. Stellar set, all but one track from Blood and Chocolate played and a 1-2-3-4 encore punch, then the stroboscopic unsettling closer of Poor Napoleon/Inst...

I remember Harald Schmidt Show when SKY first started in analogue. Not seen the Elvis clips before. They used to have a great show from the mid 70's on there called DISCO it was a bit like their TOTP and featured a lot of my glam rock heroes

Not that went anywhere near this programme but the BBC's Liverpool love in about the football team winning the league featured Pump It Up although I dont think Elvis was a talking head in the programme.

Offshoreram has picked a few of my favourites. Dingwalls Camden Lock 1983 I maybe wrong but I think it was the first gig with the TKO horns. That was for Capital Radio's 10th birthday Royal Albert Hall April 1999 as I got into the after party and had a chat with Elvis for the very first time Royal A...

i am sure that a few want to hear what i have to say.   as an out and out loon and stated somewhere above, i have seen way too many to pick just one. i would need to enumerate top ten and even that will leave many unlisted. so, let me give you a few and see where my mind takes me. 1...

Re: New song "Phonographic Memory", August 28, 2020

Maybe its just me this isnt very good and I doubt I will bothered listening to it again In fairness, I think it's more clever and interesting than actually 'good', but that's fine - I think that about 20 or 30 EC tracks (including several on North if I'm really putting my cards on the table). But I...

Re: New album Hey Clockface will be released October 30, 2020

It's annoying that there isn't a European or UK store to order from. Being just US makes ordering the LP from there too expensive compared to Amazon etc. Would like to support EC's online store more but extra postage costs prohibit this, except for very light items. totally agree the fact it all co...

I didnt vote for either of those so at least i can vote for my least favourite again. Trust is such a hard album to say you have a least favourite its a great great album. I will find it very hard to pick a favourite.

Hiding the poll whilst voting is taking place is a great idea too.
