Re: New Gig Thread

I saw Bellowhead at Birkenhead Pacific Road on Sunday night and they were absolutely brilliant. Do make an effort to catch them if they play near you.

Dave Swarbrick & Martin Carthy last night at Liverpool Phil - great concert. Both of them are 70 this year. Swarb has announced his retirement in 2013. He'll be a great loss to the music world. Still, he's one of the few people to have read his own obituary! http://www.alexlyons.co.uk/atrax/swar...

My son is keen on making animations - I don't know how many of you know 'Matty Groves' by fairport Convention, but he's done an animation for it, which can be seen here - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AzSepfg3TPE what do you think?

"Time Will Show the Wiser"- Fairport Convention Have to love the Velvet Underground look of this lineup- could have come out of the Factory except for the fact that the music is a thousand miles from the previously mentioned band. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XtyCsSkIALk And Simon Nicol...

Doomsword - The eternal battle
Amon Amarth - Surtur rising
The Unthanks - Last
Emmylou Harris - hard bargain
Blood Ceremony - Living with the ancients
Van Der Graaf Generator - Grounding in numbers
Primordial - Redemption at the puritan's hand

Re: Costello at Liverpool Philharmonic 25/06/08

Has anyone got a good copy of this show? 'Sulky Lad' made what he believes to have been a good recording.
