Cheapest tickets $150? Jeez. Long Islander though I am, I don't think I can do it. BA? Doc? Other Nyers? Are you going to make the trip? Kind of a long drive for most of you...

I'm not going to drive to Westhampton Beach on a Sunday in July. From where I live, this 100 mile drive will take at least 3 hours, probably more like 4 or 5 going home with the weekender traffic.

Westhampton Beach - The Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center continues to bring outstanding entertainment to the East End of Long Island and proudly announces the launch of its 2011 Summer Season.

Showcasing national and international performing artists from a dazzling array of genres and cultures, along with a hilarious line-up of comedians, an astounding artistic dance company, an extraordinary tour-de-force theatre performance, and for the first time ever, a one-ring family circus under a charming "Big Top" on the Village Green in Westhampton Beach, the WHBPAC invites you to celebrate the transformative power of the arts. From folk to pop, classical to rock, jazz to cabaret and even theatre, this texturally rich season offers something for everyone!

This year's impressive program spans big names like Wynonna and Elvis Costello & The Imposters to up-and-comers like smooth jazz crooner Sachal Vasandani and acclaimed musician and producer Daniel Lanois' reggae-infused music project, "Black Dub."

His Latest Flame - IMPROMPTU
Little Sister - IMPROMPTU
Perhaps there's a Westhampton connection to songwriters Doc Pomus & Mort Shuman...

I think Stations of the Cross is a brilliant closing song.

I liked it when he closed a show earlier (Toronto?) with I Hope. That rocked.

He did 4 at Wolf Trap 6/15...National Ransom, Spell, Jimmie, Josephine. Not as interesting as Church and Stations!

Am I imagining things or did EC do something sort of similar at another recent concert, where he played Out of Time and Don't Lie to Me, which are consecutive tracks on The Rolling Stones' Metamorphasis? Maybe its not all that similar, but now I'm going crazy trying to determine if he did recently play those two songs in a row or it was just my imagination.
